From an early age, Bart van Herk, founder and owner of E.S.P. bv, developed a deep passion for exceptional transport. Growing up surrounded by machinery and trucks, with parents who ran an agricultural business that included a transport division, he naturally developed a love for everything on wheels.

“The company, founded by my grandparents, was based at our family home, which meant I was often involved in the daily routine as a child. In my early years, both the office and the canteen were located right in our kitchen. There were always small tasks I could help with. I was taught to work with my hands first, which motivated me to give my best and deliver quality work. The reward was getting to ride along with the machines!”

After completing a higher professional degree in logistics (HBO), Bart worked for over ten years in the transport industry, most of it at a company specializing in exceptional transport. “That’s where my real passion for this field began. My heart truly lies in the world of exceptional transport — it’s what I want and what I’m meant to do.”

In 2012, Bart founded E.S.P. bv – initially together with a business partner for the first four years. The company began with a focus on transport services. Over time, the permits and escorting department grew in prominence, and the organization continued to professionalize and expand.

Bart enjoys sharing his passion for the industry with his colleagues. What makes E.S.P. bv stand out, in addition to this passion, is its own facility for conducting turning tests, its ability to act quickly through an extensive network of trusted partners, and its continuous drive to find the best solution for every client.
